The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a major livelihood crisis across all sections of society, with the most vulnerable being severely impacted. World Vision India’s response will focus on supporting vulnerable families through education, child protection, food and livelihoods, strengthening the health care systems and supporting the workers. We also plan to use Cash and Voucher Programming and in-kind distribution to support vulnerable families for ensuring food security.
In all our communities, World Vision India teams will work towards promoting COVID-appropriate behaviour along with encouraging people to get vaccinated. We will continue to prioritise the needs of families with most vulnerable children (malnourished children and children with disabilities), elderly population, widows and women-headed vulnerable households, persons with disabilities and chronical illness, families infected with COVID-19, families of casual/daily wage labourers, households without social security cover of the government, families of reverse migrants and landless households.
Our teams are working closely with the district administration and the local inter-agency group to support the Government’s response efforts and reach more people with necessary relief.
The need is enormous. Help us respond immediately.
