In this video we demonstrate how to make polished concrete shine. This is our level 2 system. We run our diamond satellite pads on a low speed buffer, propane burnisher or even an auto scrubber.
You run the #50,#100 and #200 and then you put a densifier down that hardens the concrete and makes it a tougher product. Then you run #400, #800 and #1500 grit pad. Then you use a #3000 double sided pad which has diamonds all throughout the entire pad. After that you apply our guard product which is a protector. The guard product adds protection and sheen to your mechanically polished floor.
You would apply our guard product to the floor with a microfiber mop and then buff it at the end. Multiple coats of guard can be put down. This product and system allows for minimal disruption as the dry times are very quick. The DNA Polish Guard can be walked on within an hour in most circumstances.
This polish guard product is a concentrate which you mix with 1:1 with water. You put it down very thin with a microfiber mop. You'll use about 1500 square foot per mixed gallon.
When you want to re-apply the guard you will clean it wet with a 1500 grit pad to make sure it's clean and then dry buff it with a 3000 grit double sided pad. You dry buff so that any streaks left by water are buffed off the floor. You will then apply the guard. When it's dry to the touch you dry buff it with a 3000 grit pad. You may also dry buff it with a low speed buffer which is around 175 RPM. If you want it pop more you will want to use a high speed buffer which is around 1500 RPM. A 1500 RPM buffer is typically propane or electric and will create more pop.
Re-applying guard to a clean floor is and dry buffing it with a 3000 grit pad is a very easy application. Use this method on your floor and you will see great results!
