A trip from Athabasca Glacier to the Arctic Ocean, 4000km canoeing down three major rivers of Canada. The Athabasca River, Slave River and MacKenzie River, the last being the longest in Canada at 1800km. I began this trip alone on June 21 2020, planning to take two to three months. The starting point was Athabasca Crossing which is the head waters of the river, planning to follow the water all the way to the Beaufort Sea and then east another short paddle to the village of Tuktoyaktuk.
In this episode I settle into the Fort Chipewyan way of life for a few weeks with my new friends. Make some repairs to the tent, and continue onward. Canoeing from Fort Chipewyan to Fitzgerald.
