Nairobi residents will have to endure up to 4 months of water rationing due to low water levels in the three main dams that supply the city. The Nairobi city water and sewerage company has released a statement explaining that due to too little rain, the dams will not be able to give enough water for continuous supply for all residents, so rationing will be instituted from next week January first 2017. In the statement the managing director Philip Gichuhi sought to assure Nairobi residents that the rationing will be done reasonably.
