Dear guest,

With this project we support regional institutions for historical education in the border area of North Frisia and Denmark, the historical place near the Danewerk and Haithabu.

The history of the Norsemen and women, our ancestors, is still very much alive here. Our ancestors lived here, traded, argued, fought and love each other right "under our feet", on the same earth.

Their fantastic world full of adventures and heroic deeds concerns not only the people of Midgard, our world, but also those of the many gods, giants and other countless legendary figures.

We have created this project to shed light on the ancient beliefs, stories and customs of these great people.
Not necessarily for experts and historians, but for normal people who think about early history and/or their ancestors.

We run many projects outside the internet with schools, children and interested people of all ages. We also support our beautiful early medieval village called Valsgaard.

Who are we? We are a group of historical performers, people interested in history and musicians from North Frisia and Scandinavia.

This channel will be available in several languages, as a comprehensible translation of Old Norse into one language can already be difficult, with faulty subtitles the meaning behind the words is often even harder to understand. I hope you understand that we are not native english speakers.

Therefore, we ask you to watch our introduction for a basic explanation of the videos. Authors and licences can be found after the video.
