Plastic pollution from single use drink bottles is reaching epic proportions. It is estimated by 2050 that there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish! Recycling is not ideal as many people do not recycle and in household collected recycling waste, only about 10% actually gets recycled! Even if they are recycled, plastics can generally only be recycled once, not over and over. The better answer is to use a reusable drink bottle and fill it with tap water or if you do not like the taste of the added chlorine, use a Brita filter jug first as is featured in this video. Try to avoid soft drinks and sweetened milk or iced coffee drinks - they are bad for your teeth, weight and health (not to mention the hip pocket!).
