phosphorus is an essential nutrient for wheat plants to complete their life cycle. In order to get good yield from wheat crop, we need to apply phosphorus or phosphatic fertilizers such as Di ammonium phosphate DAP or Nitrophos to our crop.
Phosphorus is deficient in our soils. So our growers must use it for proper growth and development of wheat plants.
DAP fertilizer should be used at seeding time. If our growers have missed it at that time. Then they should choose Nitrophos fertilizer. If our growers are interested only in DAP application then they should adopt fertigation method of fertilizer application. Broadcasting of DAP fertilizer on first irrigation in wheat field will not be as effective as nitrophos.
