Prince Harry branded the First Amendment in the US Constitution "bonkers" during an episode of the Armchair Expert podcast. The Duke of Sussex was immediately hit by backlash for his remarks which, according to one expert, may cost dearly to the Duke of Sussex's brand.

Brand and reputation management expert Eric Schiffer told Express.co.uk he believed Harry was trying to be transparent and authentic with the public when he made his comments on the US Constitution.

However, he said the remarks struck the wrong chord with many Conservatives in the country Prince Harry now lives and work.

The California-based expert said: "He was trying to be authentic in sharing how he feels but with deadly consequences for his relationship with Conservative America, whose leaders are using [his remarks on the First Amendment] to fire missiles back at Harry and rally the Republican and Conservative bases against foreign interferences in the sovereignty of US."

Mr Schiffer had previously told Express.co.uk he believes Meghan and Harry want to connect with younger generations as they "have understood that their choice to be transparent will connect better with younger people, who care about authenticity and realness and the sharing of feelings." ...
