Our organization was founded ten years ago: a month after Sandy Hook and two years to the day after Gabby Giffords was shot.

In the years since, we've changed hearts, changed minds, and changed laws.

Together, we’ve helped pass over 500 gun safety laws in state legislatures and the first federal gun safety legislation in nearly three decades. We’ve helped organize a national political movement to end gun violence—a movement that’s gone toe-to-toe with the gun lobby. We've elected the first presidential ticket to run on gun safety. And we’ve defended countless lifesaving gun laws.
