The Northern wars are of importance to the story in both the books and the games, the battles fought, kingdoms conquered and lives lost have a lasting impact.
These wars weren't the normal wars that the northern realms fought among each other, these wars were more brutal and a lot more would change because of them than any other war in the north ever could.

In this video, we’ll go over the First Northern War.
We’ll talk about how the war started, what the consequences were of the war and which lasting effects it had on the continent.

The Witcher games are truly an amazing experience, I can't wait till CD Projekt Red continues their games in this world.
