Accused murderer Kaitlin Armstrong temporarily escaped custody during a medical appointment in South Austin on Wednesday, prompting a 10-minute pursuit before being apprehended and returned to Travis County custody. The escape led to a brief chase, and while Armstrong was later captured and taken to an Austin hospital for checks, she was returned to the correctional complex in Del Valle with no impact expected on her upcoming trial set for October 30.
