Another steam loco arrived a couple of months ago at Colwich, probably the most famous locomotive in the world…..4472 Flying Scotsman

Having seen the real loco a number of times over the years, I’ve always fancied a model version.
The current livery she wears - late BR Green, German style smoke deflectors is my favourite guise, but I cannot justify the extortionate price of the current release.💰💰💰

This Hornby model from 2005 (yes you read that right! 2005) came up on market place completely untouched condition, but a poor runner. Seeing as she has the right deflectors & the latest OH warning flashes I thought she would fit in perfectly for my steam charter fleet.
The LNER green Is growing on me….there are a few more Little jobs that need to be completed before I’m totally happy, but for the mean time I hope you enjoy running session.

Model: Hornby R 2441 NRM special Edition

Modifications:- Hornby TTS sound chip fitted

iPhone speaker upgrade - fitted In Smokebox

Tender connection bypassed - now hard wired for better connectivity (with plug)
