In our program, you will learn a wealth of about how to be a part of a vital health care team in our pharmacies within our community. You will get to have a hybrid experience. With hybrid, you will learn a lot of your didactic information online and be included in some labs here on campus.

After your training, you will do an externship of 180 hours in different types of settings to prepare you for your dynamic career. As you combine both of those experiences, not only do you gain the skills of being an exceptional college student, but you'll also be preparing for an awesome career. Our students get hired in general pharmacies, retail pharmacies, and hospital pharmacies. At your externship site, you will demonstrate all of the activities and labs you have done in class to show your employer that you are ready to be a pharmacy technician.

As part of the healthcare team, you communicate in your pharmacies, but you also will talk to doctor's offices, nurses, CNAs, MAs, and everyone else in the healthcare field. Our pharmacy technicians not only get rigorous training and rigorous didactic information, but we always will reiterate and do more simulations of what you'll be doing in the field as the field changes.

Once you are done, you can decide where you fit best, but we will give you all the training to be successful. We hope to see you soon at the campus, and I can't wait to be your instructor.
