The Mini Griptillian (556-1) has been one of Benchmade's best selling knives ever since it was created. The Benchmade 556-1 answers the call for a Mini Griptillian with an upgraded super-steel blade and upgraded G10 handle scales.
The Griptilian MDP, designed by Mel Pardue, is a modified drop point with dual thumb studs. It offers extreme durability in its rugged construction. At the heart of the design is the unmatched strength of the AXIS locking mechanism. The blade features a premium American made Crucible CPM-20CV stainless steel blade. CPM-20CV is a martensitic stainless steel with a high volume of vanadium carbides for exceptionally good wear resistance. CPM-20CV contains the highest amount of chromium of any high vanadium stainless steel currently available. This results in superior corrosion resistance while maintaining high wear resistance.
The scales are formed from grey G10. Blue G10 accents and matching blue barrel spacers help the knife stand out. Includes a reversible black pocket clip that is mounted for tip-up carry.
