Indonesian-Chinese coffee shop stays classic since 1927.
Jakarta, Indonesia 🇮🇩
I'm walking streets of Glodok, the original Chinatown of Jakarta, where they do things by the tradition.
The coffee is made as it always has been made, for almost 100 years. They have Indonesian and Chinese-Indonesian food options that come in from the numerous outside street food vendors when you order it.
I ordered a hot coffee, iced milk coffee, and a bowl of wonton (dumpling) soup. The bowl of soup dumplings were absolutely 5 star fresh. The coffee was smooth. The vibe was classic. I totally loved the whole experience, and it cost me just less than $6 USD. They close by 3pm or so. So don't be late. Open everyday. I could get hooked on this place. Jakarta food is absolutely incredible.
Next, I am getting a haircut, shave, and ear cleaning at Ko Tang next door. Watch for the new Jason Rupp Ko Tang video coming.
