To Make Prawns Marinate
Prawns - 1/2 Kg
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp (Buy: [ Ссылка ])

Coriander Powder - 1 Tsp (Buy: [ Ссылка ])
Salt - 1 1/2 Tsp (Buy: [ Ссылка ])
To Make Masala Powder
Coriander Seeds - 2 Tbsp
Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp (Buy: [ Ссылка ])
Peppercorns - 1 Tsp (Buy: [ Ссылка ])
Cardamom - 4 Nos (Buy: [ Ссылка ])
Few Cloves (Buy: [ Ссылка ])
Cinnamon - 3 Pieces (Buy: [ Ссылка ])
Kashmiri Chilli - 7 Nos
Red Chilli - 7 Nos (Buy: [ Ссылка ])
To Make Prawn Curry
Oil - 2 Tbsp (Buy: [ Ссылка ])
Fennel Seeds - 1 Tsp (Buy: [ Ссылка ])
Shallot - 25 Nos
Green Chilli - 2 Nos
Curry Leaves
Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 Tsp
Tomato - 2 Nos
Method:
1. Take washed, cleaned and deveined prawns in a bowl.
2. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, salt to it and mix well. Keep it aside.
3. For the masala powder, add coriander seeds, cumin seeds, peppercorns, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon to a pan and roast them for a few seconds.
4. Then add in the red chillies, both normal and Kashmiri variety.
5. Once there's aroma coming from the ingredients, turn off the stove and cool them completely.
6. Then transfer them to a mixer jar and grind them all into a fine powder.
7. To a wide kadai, add oil and heat it.
8. Add fennel seeds and shallots, roast them until they are slightly gold in colour.
9. Then add green chillies, curry leaves and mix well.
10. Add in ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell goes off.
11. Add in the chopped tomatoes and saute until they are nice and mushy.
12. Next add in the marinated prawns and mix.
13. Add chilli powder according to your preference and mix. Then add in the ground masala powder.
14. After you mix the prawns with masala, add in water and dilute the curry.
15. Simmer the curry for a few seconds and then add in the coconut milk.
16. Cover the kadai with a lid and cook the curry for about 8 mins.
17. After 8 mins, add in some chopped coriander leaves and give it all a quick mix.
18. Flavourful Prawn Curry is ready to be served with some nice hot steamed rice.

Now, I have made this curry in a pretty straightforward manner with all the basic ingredients that are available every day in our kitchens. This is very tasty curry. Although I've used masalas, the curry tasted a little mild and soothing only because of the coconut milk. So in every way possible, this one is a wonderfully flavoured side dish and you can have it along with simple rice recipes like jeera rice, green peas pulao, ghee rice, etc. Do try this recipe and enjoy!
