Andy Martin writes: Manfred Trojahn (b 1949) is a direct contemporary of fellow German composer Peter Ruzicka. Celestial Architecture (1975) for choir and orchestra is the only work of his to attain any recognition outside Germany. This is taken from a radio broadcast but the quality is excellent. It is performed by the North German Radio Choir with the North German Radio Symphony Orchestra. The paintings are by Kazuo Shiraga plus a few snaps of Akira Ishii who was our drummer and flautist from 1998 to 1999.
