Hand Pollinating Passionfruits - easy and fun. You don't have to do this if you have plenty of pollinators in the garden. All you need is a small brush. Could be a paint brush or make up brush. Brush the anther to get the pollen, and touch that to the stigma to deposit the pollen. And done! The passionfruit vine we have here was planted in February 2020. The video is taken early in November. When the condition is right, passionfruit is a fast growing and prolific producer. Andy and I love it so much, we are building more raised beds with frames in the front yard so we can grow more passionfruit. This time I got the Golden Passionfruit Vine. I believe it is the preferred home of the Gulf Fritillary butterflies. I am looking forward to see their caterpillars next Spring!
