This episode on the great Indian Saint - Yogi Ramsuratkumar is very special to me. It was an honour to have Ma Devaki- one of his closest disciples narrate beautiful lesser-known incidents from Yogi Ramsuratkumar's life. Her deep devotion and 'Hanuman' bhaav radiates as she speaks about her Guru.
Her bhakti is so profound that she didn't even want to come on camera and only wanted Yogi Ramsuratkumar's visuals to accompany this sharing. One can tangibly. feel His blessings through this episode.
More about Yogi Ramsuratkumar:
Also referred to as Visiri Samiyar, this great Indian saint Yogi Ramsuratkumar (1 December 1918 – 20 February 2001) was born in a village Naradara. He was very different from other children. From a very early age of 4 years old he exhibited a deep pull towards Spirituality and spent a lot of time with Sadhus, Yogis by the ghats of the holy Ganges river.
In search of his "guru", he visited and spent time in the ashrams of both Sri Aurobindo and Ramana Maharishi. He later moved to Kerala at the ashram of Swami Ramdas. Swami Ramdas initiated him into the holy mantra : " Om Sri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram ", by pronouncing it thrice in his ears. Yogi Ramsuratkumar often refers to this instance as his "death", since from this moment on, his ego no longer existed, and he had a profound spiritual experience. He was a "hidden" saint during this early period, with not too many individuals realising that this "beggar" was someone who would bring riches to the lives of countless many.
