After a small bit of freight and a railtour... It's back to the Worth Valley for their Spring Steam Gala 2022.
This three day event sees most of the KWVR working fleet operating, with the addition of BLS 45596 "Bahamas" and two guest locomotives, Locomotive Services Limited no. 46100 "Royal Scot" and Severn Valley resident 57xx Pannier Tank no. 7714. Both guests had previously been at the line during their 50th gala anniversary; with 46100 running for three days on Royal Scot days, and 7714 masquerading as sister locomotive and Worth Valley resident no. 5775.
This longform gala video contains nearly 2 hours of gala action on all parts of the line, featuring all but Standard 2 no. 78022, and over two of the three days. Locations include: Haworth, Oakworth, Ingrow West, Keighley, the turntable at Keighley and Low Mill Road.
As a bonus, at the start, Colas Class 70 no. 70809 passes thorugh with tankers for Immingham from Carlisle North Yard, then the Carlisle bound railtour with the two Royal 67s, 67005 "Queen's Messenger" and 67006 "Royal Sovereign" pass through at speed (In reality, the railtour ran first, then the freight, but I put them the other way round to introduce the video better). Shortly after that, the long arduous climb out with Bahamas at the helm.
This would be my 5th steam gala, and my fourth video on a steam gala, and I hope you enjoy this video.
