Scott Kelly wrote about this in his book, Endurance. Weight and materials are a big issue in the ISS; so they limit what you can and cannot bring/be given. You get a care package every 2-3 months in a normal 6 month rotation. But, according to NASA: it's restricted to 11lbs.

The astronaut who brought this suit on board had to forgo things like chocolate or entertainment for months. It would make anyone go a little bananas.
