Taiwan is trying to revitalize the economy by developing a closer relationship with other parts of Asia Pacific.The government has announced its New "Southbound Policy promotion plan" and said it will invest NT$4.2 billion to support trade cooperation, talent exchanges, and strengthen regional links between Taiwan and South Asia, Australia, New Zealand and 10 ASEAN member states.
新南向正式啟動，行政院公佈新南向政策推動計畫，將以經貿合作、資源共享、人才交流和區域鏈結四大面向為主，鎖定東協十國、南亞六國和紐澳共18個國家，投入42億元，要改將過去單向交流改為雙向。
