Two UN peacekeepers have been killed and at least others seriously injured by a car bomb in the northern Mali town of Kidal. The attack destroyed the only operating bank in the town and comes as the second round of parliamentary elections are held. It is not known if the bank was open at the time. Media quoted a Malian jihadist member as saying the attack was revenge for Africa's support of the French army operation against them.
