The flood situation continues to remain grim in West Karbi Anglong district of Assam.
The floodwaters of Kapili River have flooded over a 100 villages, affecting nearly 1000 people.
Road communication along the Boithalangshu-Hojai route has been disrupted after many locations of the route submerged under water.
Meanwhile, the affected families have begun shifting to higher lands in search of safety and security and have made temporary settlements.
