"Pourquoi me réveiller" is a famous aria from the opera Werther by Jules Massenet, which you can see in a new production by Bergen National Opera between the 16th and 22nd March 2019. Tenor Edgaras Montvidas, who has the title role in Bergen, was in 2009 awarded the Theatre Award 'The Gold Cross of the Stage' in Lithuania for his performances as Werther. In 2018 he received further critical acclaim in the press for his interpretation of the lovestruck poet:
