The top of Alpe D'Huez has many superb blue runs for you to enjoy. However skiing is dangerous and a moment's loss of concentration can have disastrous results. As I found out to my cost. ALWAYS wear a helmet. You never know when you will need it to protect your head. My helmet was ruined in the crash but did exactly what it was designed to do. I walked away unharmed.
