- a transmission pan gasket or new transmission pan assembly
- a new drain plug with a seal
- fastening bolts (if the old ones are in poor condition)
- a container for the drained transmission fluid
- a cleaning agent for car parts
- a funnel or syringe
- goggles and gloves
