BJP president Amit Shah addressed a public rally in Mahabubnagar in Telangana. On a day-long visit to the state, Amit Shah said that Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao called for early elections in the state because he feared to lose. He pointed out that the elections were supposed to be held in May 2019 and asked whether KCR was not confident of his victory in May. And also emphasized that his party will form a government in Telangana that will not oppress people from the SC community and tribals. Talking about the work done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the state, he said that under the 13th Finance Commission, Telangana got only Rs 16,000 crore, which was increased to Rs 1,15,000 crore under the Modi government.
