Whether you call this pin Red & Ted's Road Show, Roadshow or just simply RS, this 1994 Williams (WMS) pinball machine is a blast to play. It has a very lively shaker motor to intensify gameplay and a total of four flippers (3 on the left side of the field and one at the lower right).
It was designed by Pat Lawlor with the "Buy In" in mind as you will need to add more credits as you travel the USA highways visiting different cities which have their own unique sights, landmarks and interesting locales.
My machine in this video is set to 3-ball play + the option to Buy-in 4 more additional balls. I've only owned this machine just under a week and have not been able to make the big cross country journey from East to West coasts of the USA.
Additional cool features are: 2 animated construction workers heads (Red & Ted) with eyes that open and close as well as follow the ball and mouths to swallow the pinball, Two shooter rods to launch the ball, wide body or "Super Pin" playfield construction, several multi balls and the country & western Carlene Carter voice as "Red" and her country hit song "Every Little Thing" to give it a unique country feel. Some have called this design Funhouse on Steroids.
My pin is pretty much original except for the "cool blue" LED lamps over the rear ramps and in both manual plunger locations.
I like it a lot and it completes the 7 Bally/Williams Super Pin collection with my Indiana Jones, Star Trek: the Next Generation, Twilight Zone, Judge Dredd, Popeye Saves the Earth and Demolition Man in my gameroom.
6,259 units were built.
Cheers, Steveo
