For this process, we used a 300-watt PS30 bulb with a stainless steel pot. The overall cooking process of the egg took about 10 minutes. Since incandescent bulbs draw a large amount of energy, the energy is then converted into heat and has to go somewhere... at least in this case, it isn't wasted and it cooks an egg! :P
This is why LED bulbs are being promoted so heavily - they use a fraction of the energy and they don't act as heaters! Less heat = less energy = less cost for you!
