Event Description

Founded on August 25, 2000, Brooklyn Dominican Parade & Festival Inc. attempts to bring together the Latin American population of the Tri-state area. The parade commemorates the independence of the Dominican Republic while also paying tribute to general Gregorio Luperon, for his brave efforts to annul the annexation of the Dominican Republic by Spain. The event, which combines music, dances and food, is a chance to immerse yourself in the Latin American culture. So come and join us in the celebration of Latin American pride.
