Cyclone Biparjoy hit the Gujarat coast striking the region with strong winds on June 15. Mandvi in the Kachchh district witnessed strong winds as an impact of cyclone Biparjoy. Trees were uprooted and property damaged in Naliya of Kachchh amid strong winds. In addition to this, 23 animals have been killed in Gujarat. Cyclone Biparjoy’s intensity reduced from 'very severe' to 'severe' category after its landfall. Several relief and rescue teams are on alert as thousands of people were evacuated to safe locations
