While this isn’t a direct adaptation of Batman: Year One, there are plenty of references to that specific story arc. Batman uses sonar in his boot heel to call on bats while he’s being attacked by the police, the exact line “You’re a good cop. One of the few”, and in the end, Batman’s next case ends up being the Joker.
