There is no special tools necessary to replace the power window switch on vw jetta. All you need is a pry tool. If you don't have one you can use a flat screwdriver, just be careful not to damage the door panel. Once you have the switch out, disconnect the electrical connector. Then you will have 3 phillips screws to unscrew and separate the switch form its plastic base. That's it. If you are replacing the switch on regular volkswagen jetta, instead of phillips screws, there will be black tabs which you have to unclip.
