Carbon is not a good thermal conductor. To avoid the battery overheating, we developed our THERMO GATE. It works like a chimney in the way that the hot air can rise up through the gate. Usually, heat build-up from the battery is not an issue during riding, but for example, if the bike is laying in the sun for a prolonged time, it helps that the hot air can escape from the down tube quickly. Our THERMO GATE enables the battery to perform at its best, in any condition.
