Xiaomi has just held a launch event in Madrid announcing their first roll-out in the south Europen country. During the event, Xiaomi announced the initial lineup of products that will be available through their Mi online webshop as well as through a select range of resellers including Media Mart and Carrefour.
The first rollout of products in Spain include a number of phones including the Mi Mix 2, Mi 6, Mi Max 2 as well as a handful of smart products including the Mi band 2, Mija 4K camera and the electric scooter.
It is expected that Xiaomi might be opening physical Mi stores in Spain before the end of the year and it's very likely Xiaomi plans to expand to other countries including Germany, France, Belgium and The Netherlands, however, this is not confirmed yet.
This launch event was particularly exciting as this represents the first step of Xiaomi moving to Europe and it's just a matter of time before they start rolling into other territories.
