It was a multi-modal adventure getting to Bahraich. Vishnu, Samar, Ajay and I boarded an overnight bus from Lucknow which dropped us off at the outskirts of Bahraich. This was followed by a laborious rickshaw ride till the station. Since our train to Dudwa was delayed by a couple of hours, we hung around the station premises and control room, duly capturing relics of interest such as token instruments, SLR wedges, shunt signals, etc. And then the 6-coach train showed up with a Izzatnagar YDM in charge. After the loco changed ends and the token was handed over to the LP, we all boarded the guard's cabin. What was in store for us till Dudwa?
