A public event at the Nanovic Institute's 1989 Conference, the "I Was There" roundtable discussion explored the experiences our panelists lived-out while watching the unraveling of socialist governments in Eastern Europe in 1989.

Panelists include Maurizio Albahari and A. James McAdams from the University of Notre Dame, Martin Kagel from the University of Georgia, and Tomasz Stepniewski from the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin in Poland.
