(23 Oct 2018) German Chancellor Angela Merkel met Polish President Andrzej Duda in Berlin on Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, Duda was asked whether Poland would be prepared to host new US medium-range missiles if Washington withdrew from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty.
Duda said: "We have not taken this matter into consideration."
US President Donald Trump says Russia violated the treaty that prohibits the US and Russia from possessing, producing or test-flying ground-launched nuclear cruise and ballistic missiles with a 500 to 5,500-kilometre (300 to 3,400-mile) range.
