Having reached the age of marriage, chance makes them both fall in love with the same girl, the most beautiful girl in that area. When they realized this, the boys asked the girl to choose one of them. Unable to decide, the girl retreated to the mountains, and the brothers quarreled and fought to the death, each by the hand of the other. Hearing of the tragedy, the girl threw herself from the mountain, and in the place where she fell, the waterfall sprung up, whose strong roar symbolizes the girl's eternal cry for the two boys. Also, the bodies of the two brothers turned into mountains - Jepul Mic and Jepul Mare. The legend ends with the death of the mother of the two boys, who turned into a forest that covered the two mountains, to be always together.
