Chocolate Chiffon Cake (Steamed)
✔️Batter
5 pieces egg yolks (large)
3/4 cup sugar (150g)
3/4 cup fresh milk (180ml)
1/2 cup oil (120ml)
1 tsp vanilla (5ml)
2 cups cake flour (240g)
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (25g)
2 tsp baking powder (10g)
1/2 tsp salt (3g)
✔️Meringue
5 pieces egg whites
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1/4 cup sugar (50g)
•Cake pan size: 8x3 inches
* Steam over medium heat for 50 to 60 mins. (or check doneness by inserting toothpick/skewer into the cake & it should come out clean)
* Or Bake in a preheated oven @ 170°C for 55 to 60 mins. or until cake top is firm and springs back when touched. (Baking time may vary on the type of oven.)
