New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian is calling for a change to some of the lyrics in Australia’s national anthem to better acknowledge the nation’s indigenous history.
Under the proposal, the lyrics “We are young and free” would be changed to “We are one and free”.
Ms Berejiklian says it would make a difference and wants a national discussion started on the topic.
