Here is part 1 in my Flower Video Reference Library series.

04:07 - Cherry Blossoms / Sakura art reference videos
I know that this is a bit of departure from the usual but I wanted to share my collection of art reference videos that I took myself of the cherry blossoms at the Royal Botanical Gardens while they were in peak bloom.
As someone who enjoys using flowers in my personal artwork, sometimes it's a bit frustrating for me to find the pictures and videos of these flowers in the particular angles and shots that I want, so I ventured forth and took some for myself. I thought I would edit and share the best clips that I have.
These are shot in 60 fps so that it will be easier for artists to grab screencaps.
In terms of the usage conditions, the videos are to be used as references only, not reproduced exactly (i.e. downloaded as stills or video clips) for commercial purposes without my permission.
I'll try to introduce each video with a little bit of extra information. For example, sometimes, I'll talk about how these plants are portrayed in art. Or I may even go a bit into botany and scientific illustration. The next one about Irises will be broken into different videos (there are so many varieties that it's too overwhelming to just put into one supervideo), so I'll probably be able to do different intros for each. :-D

If you are interested in the book I have - I actually bought it at a store. I *tried to look for it on Amazon so here are the links. Inside the book is actually all the texts in English, French, and German (yes, they repeat everything in the three languages). I think this French version will have the English essays and commentary in it, too. The version I have is a compact edition from their Bibliotheca Universalis series.
