Most gold nugget fields in the Western US and many in Australia have the Hot Rocks & Iron Stones to deal with. In this short video Gerry's Detectors of Boise, Idaho is showing how the new Garrett ATX Extreme Pulse Induction metal detectors can be adjusted to ignore those targets and still find gold. He uses a coin (nickel) as the non ferrous target, since nickels make the same tones as gold nuggets.
