In this video we will be installing the Jessem route-r lift II. When I installed the first router 4 years ago it was a central machine fixed base router. I used 3/16 plexy glass for the plate. I up graded 2 years to a 5/8ths plate and a bosh router. When installing both plates I checked the most common router plates and lifts to be sure I would be able to upgrade and have a nice fit. the bosh and the 5/8ths worked well but was inconvenient to change bits. I also had to unbolt the base from the plate when I wanted to use my router out side of the table. The new lift lets me change rings for more safety between bit sizes. The new lift also provides more safety with the starter pin option when not using a fence.
