Despite the shock brought by unexpected factors, officials say there's huge resilience and potential for China's economy.
The country's top economic planner says one of its top priorities is to expand effective demand.
Yuan Da, Director, Department of National Economy, National Development and Reform Commission:
"We will work to promote effective investment in important projects, make good use of financial policies to boost development, invest in infrastructure such as transportation, energy, logistics, agriculture and rural areas, and promote the recovery of consumption in key areas."
Officials also emphasized the importance of securing food and energy supplies, supporting innovation, improving supply chains and stabilizing foreign trade.
They said the quality and efficiency of economic and trade cooperation between China and other countries has been improved.
