At Bobby Flay's restaurant in the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Joe Lentini says he was tricked into buying a $4,000 bottle of wine!
Lentini says he asked the server for a recommendation since he doesn't know much about wine and he said that she tricked him into buying an extremely expensive bottle.
“I said to the waitress, listen, I don't really know anything about wine, pick a decent wine. She goes ok, she picked that one which was the Screaming Eagle 2011, and she said that's $37.50. So I said to my wife and the guy next to me, $37.50? Thirty seven dollars and fifty cents? That's it? Well ok,” Lentini explains.
But to his surprise when the check came, the bottle turned out to be $3,750, and that's when he caused a commotion. The restaurant responded with threatening to call the authorities if he didn't pay for the bottle.
