Dr Fidel Rubagumya presents his talk at Choosing Wisely Senegal 2022 on lessons learned from Choosing Wisely campaigns in Africa.

He describes the Choosing Wisely initiative as aiming to encourage a dialogue between physicians and patients, as well as a dialogue with policymakers who are responsible for cancer care in different Sub-Saharan countries in Africa.

Dr Rubagumya summarises the 10 key Choosing Wisely recommendations for oncologists.

He also outlines some of the barriers in implementing the Choosing Wisely guidelines in Africa.
