Today I am sharing with you another very easy to make Sundal using Chana Dal. In Tamil we call it Kadalai paruppu sundal that is Chana Dal Sundal.
Chana Dal Sundal can also be served as a tea -time snack

Ingredients:
Chana Dal - 1 cup
Urad Dal - 1 tsp
Mustard seed - ½ tsp
Red chilli whole (broken into pieces) - 1 -2 piece
Curry leaves - few
Grated fresh coconut - 2 - 3 tbsp
Asafoetida - ½ tsp
Salt - to taste
Lemon juice (optional) - Few drops
Method:
1. Add oil in a pan
2. When hot add urad dal, mustard seeds, curry leaves, broken red chilli and asafoetida
3. Mix well
4. Now add the cooked chana dal to it. Also add salt as per your taste and mix
5. Let it cook on low to medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes
6. Finally add some fresh grated coconut to it.
7. You can also add few drops of Lime juice just before switching off the flame. (Its Optional)
8. Chana dal Sundal is ready!!!
