Power utility Eskom says stage three load shedding to be implemented at midnight till 4pm daily till Thursday. While stage four will be implemented daily at peaks between 4pm and midnight. A further update is expected on Wednesday afternoon or when significant changes occur.
This comes after it ramped up rolling blackout stages to Stage 6 a week ago, costing the economy an estimated R4 billion a day.
Meanwhile, according to reports by the Sunday Times publication, the Eskom board may be restructured this week following a cabinet meeting.
